Yes, it's that simple! If you are truly committed to
stop smoking then you too can benefit from this hugely
successful method.
Yes, I did say habit and it's really a bad one when you
actually stop to think about it.
You though you felt better when you are stressed; you thought
it helped you relax after a hard day at work; it was something to do
when you were bored. You thought it made you feel more confident; You
thought it gave you pleasure. It has been like the guest you
invited over for a meal and then they refused to leave, depositing
mess wherever they went in your house, leaving “crap” in the middle
of the floor and leaving a disgusting rotten smell in every room,
and still you haven’t been able to kick them out.
No wonder it's so difficult?
You will
learn why your reasons to stop smoking are good, but not good enough Yes, that's right. If your reasons and lame excuses were
good enough, then you would’ve stopped smoking ages ago and given it
the flick. You may have felt
you had good excuses and reasons why you haven’t already given up
and yet they weren’t
good enough or you wouldn’t be reading this web page. You would
already be a non smoker.
Most people who consult a hypnotherapist to help them
stop smoking have already tried every other method that
they can possibly think of. Whether that is patches, gum,
medication, support groups or willpower alone you can be assured of
one thing, it will have been one of the hardest things they have
ever attempted to do. If you're one of those people then you already
know that they didn't work for you and here you are, the last
resort!
The fact is that hypnotherapy is actually the fastest and
most effective way of
becoming a non-smoker. Indeed, this is backed by one of the largest
studies ever undertaken in America which looked at all the various
methods and it concluded this: 'most techniques turned out to be
hopeless, hypnosis, however, came out as the most effective
anti-smoking technique'
One of the main
reasons why you have found it so very difficult to stop smoking is
because all those other methods leave you as an ex-smoker rather
than a non-smoker. It may be stating the obvious but just think
about this:
Imagine that you
had never smoked. Would you be tempted to sneak a quick fag in your
coffee break? Would you find it impossible to go to a party where
you knew your mates would be smoking because you would find it too
hard to resist? If you saw a packet of fags on the kitchen bench
would you automatically take one and light it up?
Of course you wouldn't. That would be ridiculous if you had never
smoked. Now answer this:
If you had just
given up smoking using perhaps, gum or patches how would you feel in
all those situations? has the penny dropped?
That is the difference between using hypnotherapy to
quit smoking
and all the other methods that you've tried in the past. Using
hypnotherapy you become non-smoker, whereas the other methods leave
you as an ex-smoker, always thinking about cigarettes and always
waiting to fail!!

The American
National Council for Hypnotherapy recently circulated information
about new research into the effectiveness of hypnotherapy as a way
of stopping smoking.
To investigate the
most effective method of stopping smoking, the University of Iowa
carried out a meta-analysis, using the results of more than 600
studies, with a total of nearly 72,000 people. The results
included 48 studies of hypnosis covering 6,000 smokers, and were
published in the Journal of Applied Psychology. They clearly
showed that hypnosis was three times more effective than nicotine
replacement therapy.
STOP SMOKING
I see people for 1 sessions and like to
include another session at no charge two to three days later just to
check how you are doing and give you a tuneup for the rest of your
life. If at any time you feel you need more sessions and extra
support it is only a phone call away.
NOTE:
To maximize your chances of quitting
cigarettes with any stop smoking program, we also recommend that
you do the following:
Avoiding alcohol and caffeine
for the first 2 weeks of quitting cigarettes greatly increases your
chances of successfully breaking the smoking habit.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day for
the first 2 weeks of quitting cigarettes. This flushes the nicotine out
of your system and reduces the chances of having cravings.
Stay busy. People who are bored are more
inclined to smoke again.
Use your new energy on something productive.
Take the extra energy that you have from not smoking and use it to
exercise, start a new project or be more productive at work.
Reward yourself for not smoking. Take time out
of each day that you haven't smoked and reward yourself. Enjoy your
favourite meal, doing your favourite activity, go for a walk or just take
time out to smell the roses.
Keep your hands busy. A carrot, lollypop pop or plastic pen as a
"hand to mouth" replacement for cigarettes.
Try to avoid anyone that is smoking around you
for the first week. Simply tell your friends or co-workers that you've
quit smoking and not to smoke around you. If your spouse is smoking
around you, ask them (nicely) to smoke outside or in another room.
